Gone in 60 Seconds! Spread 

This is a quick, easy and delicious spread for crackers that uses our Country Living Sweet Pepper Glaze. Yum!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup chopped green onion
  • 1/2 cup softened cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup Country Living Sweet Pepper Glaze

Directions:

Combine cheese, pecans, green onion, and cream cheese. Chill for 30 minutes (can be made ahead and placed in the refrigerator overnight). When ready to serve, place cream cheese mixture on serving platter and spoon glaze over the top. Serve with crackers and watch it dissapear!

  

Roasted Red Pepper Boats & Sweet Pepper Glaze

Another quick and easy appetizer using the Sweet Pepper Glaze.

Ingredients:

  • Country Living Sweet Pepper Glaze
  • 2 large red peppers
  • 1 box boursin cheese (5.2 ounces)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions:

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. With a paring knife, cut around the pepper stem and remove. Slice the pepper in half, lengthwise, and cut each half along the segment lines into elongated boat shapes. You should have 8 portions per pepper for a total of 16 pepper boats. Trim away any light-colored membranes and seeds. Place the peppers on a sheet tray and sprinkle with salt, pepper and oilve oil. Roast at 450 degrees for 20 minutes, or until softened and beginning to darken on the edges. Divide the boursin cheese into 16 pieces and roll into balls. Place the balls on the red peppers. Top each with 1/2 teaspoon Sweet Pepper Glaze and pop back into the oven to warm through and soften, about 1 minute. Remove to a serving tray. Enjoy!

 

 Chocolate Mint Fudge Brownie

Rich chocolate brownies glazed with our Country Living Chocolate Mint Sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 1 pound unsalted butter
  • 4 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup pecan pieces
  • 10 whole eggs
  • 1/8  cup vanilla extract
  • 1 jar Country Living Chocolate Mint Sauce

Directions:

Melt chocolate and butter in a double boiler stirring occassionally. Mix ushsugar and eggs until white and fluffy. Combine the two mixtures together, sprinkle flour and pecans on top, mixing gently with a rubber spatula. Oil an 9x13 pan and dust with flour to prevent sticking. Pour batter into the pan and bake 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees. Microwave jar of Chocolate Mint Sauce for 30 to 40 seconds to soften. Spread sauce over top of brownies, let cool slightly, and cut brownies into squares. Makes 24 2" square brownies.
